Malinska → Beli
griffon vultures
A village on a cliff in northern Cres and the cliffs below it where griffon vultures nest.
Beli is an old village on top of a cliff in the north of Cres, with a small harbour and a beach below. This coast is a griffon vulture reserve: with a bit of luck you will see them circling above the cliffs from the boat — we keep at least 200 metres off the rocks so as not to disturb them. Half an hour from Malinska across Kvarner; pairs well with Saska for a return along the east coast.
