Malinska → Krk
old town, Košljun
The old town of Krk with its cathedral and waterfront, then the islet of Košljun with a monastery and forest path.
Krk town is the oldest settlement on the island: walls, a 12th-century cathedral and a waterfront full of cafés. From the harbour it is five minutes by boat to the islet of Košljun in Punat bay, where a Franciscan monastery and a path through century-old woods give you an hour of peace and shade. A handy afternoon stop on the way back from the south of Krk, or a short trip when Kvarner is rough.
